तेरी याद जब भी आयी, तुझे भुला भुला के रोये।

जिनकी चैन से गुजरतीं हो रातें

वो हमसे बात क्या करेंगे

वैसे तो इश्क़ उन्हें भी हो जाता मगर,

दौलत की आंधी चली तो ये मोहब्बत भी इकतरफ़ा हो गयी।

याद वही आते हैं जो अक्सर दर्द देते हैं,

बनाकर अपना सफर में, अकेला छोड़ देते हैं।

और चेहरे का लिबास वही था,

कैसे उन्हें बेवफा कह दूं,

आज भी उनके देखने का अंदाज़ वही था।

उस इंसान के लिए आखिर कब तक रोता रहूँगा,

हम ना रहे तो हमे याद करोगे तुम भी,

आज कहते हो हमारे पास वक़्त नहीं हैं,

एक अजीब सा मंजर नज़र आता है,

हर एक आंसू समंदर नज़र आता हैं,

कहाँ रखूं मैं शीशे सा दिल अपना,

एक तेरा ही नाम था जिसे हज़ार बार था लिखा,

जिसे खुश हुए थे लिख कर, उसे मिटा मिटा के रोये।

Your name was the only one which was written a thousand times,

Whatever made you happy after writing it, you cried after erasing it.

पलकों के किनारे हमने भिगोये ही नहीं,

वो सोचते हैं कि हम रोये ही नहीं,

वो पूछते हैं कि सपनो मैं किसे देखते हो,

हम हैं कि इतने सालो से सोये ही नहीं।

We did not wet the edges of the eyelids,

They think that we did not cry,

They ask, who do you see in your dreams?

We have not slept for so many years.

तेरी बेवफाई ने मेरा ये हाल कर दिया है,

मैं नहीं रोती, लोग मुझे देख कर रोते है।

Your infidelity has left me in this condition,

I don't cry, people cry when they see me.

भरोसा जितना कीमती होता है,

धोखा उतना ही महंगा हो जाता है।

Trust is as precious as it is,

Cheating becomes that much more expensive.

बेवफा वक़्त था, तुम थे, या मेरा मुकद्दर,

बात इतनी ही है कि अंजाम जुदाई निकला।

Time was unfaithful, was it you, or my destiny,

वो मोहब्बत भी तेरी थी वो नफ़रत भी तेरी थी,

वो अपनाने और ठुकरानी की अदा भी तेरी थी,

मे अपनी वफ़ा का इंसाफ़ किस से माँगता,

वो सहर भी तेरा था वो अदालत भी तेरी थी।

That love was also yours, that hatred was also yours,

That style of acceptance and rejection was also yours,

From whom would I seek justice for my loyalty?

That city was also yours, that court was also yours.

वफ़ा के नाम से मेरे सनम अनजान थे,

किसी की बेवफाई से शायद परेशान थे,

हमने वफ़ा देनी चाही तो पता चला,

हम खुद बेवफा के नाम से बदनाम थे।

लम्हा लम्हा सांसें खत्म हो रही हैं,

जिंदगी मौत के पहलू में सौ रही है,

उस बेवफा से ना पूछो मेरी मौत की वजह,

वो तो ज़माने को दिखाने के लिए रो रही है।

My breath is running out moment by moment,

Life is on the verge of death,

Don't ask that unfaithful person the reason for my death.

She is crying to show the world.

रोये कुछ इस तरह से मेरे जिस्म से लग के वो,

ऐसा लगा कि जैसे कभी बेवफा न थे वो !

She cried like this while touching my body,

It seemed as if he had never been unfaithful!

नादाँ और नासमझं से कभी दिल ना लगाना,

वरना फालतू में पड़ेगा तुमको पछताना,

नहीं जानते वो प्यार की कीमत क्या होती है,

उनकी तो आदत ही होती है हर किसी से दिल लगाना।

Never fall in love with the foolish and ignorant.

Otherwise you will have to repent unnecessarily.

एक बेवफा से मैंने प्यार क्या,

दिल देकर उस पर एतेबार क्या,

हमने तो समझ था उसे हम दर्द अपना,

मगर बनकर बेदर्द उसने, दिल पर मेरा वॉर किया।

वो बेवफा है तो क्या हुआ उसे बेवफा ही रहने दो,
